The purpose of this
presentation is to provide some guidance as you prepare to bridge your son
into the Boy Scouts from Webelos.
Within this
presentation you will be exposed to some of the workings of a Boy Scout
Troop, providing some detail so that you know what to expect.
A great deal of the
material presented is general in nature and will apply to any Boy Scout
Troop. For those items that are
specific to Troop 818, I’ll make note.
It’s not my
intent to convince you to transition your Scout into Troop 818. We have a good Troop, but there are
also a number of other fine Troops in the Stillwater area. Rather, I hope
that the information provided will help you make an informed decision as to
which Troop is best for you and your son.

In closing, a little
about myself. I’m an Eagle
Scout that has approximately 25 years worth of Scouting experience under his
belt. I’ve attended
Philmont, National Jamboree, Boundary Waters and several other high adventure
sites, several times each.
I’ve been the Scoutmaster for Troop 818 for the past 5 years.

I hope you enjoy
what I’ve put together.
Each slide will have notes, so look for them to describe what I have
displayed.
